Working with the Woodland Trust was a real pleasure. As the UK’s leading conservation charity, they help to plant trees, protect woods, and create resilient landscapes for people and wildlife.

To celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, six million trees were planted across the UK. A book was commissioned to commemorate this amazing achievement, and I was fortunate enough to be asked to contribute. Articles were based on written questionnaires given to participants, though more often than not independent research was also required to paint a fuller picture.

A copy was presented to the Queen and went on display at Buckingham Palace, with another given to the British Library.
